How the Tool Works

This Generator will produce a unique web address (URL) that will take the user directly to a chat window with you in WhatsApp. When they click on the URL, it will automatically open WhatsApp on their mobile device and they will be able to send the given message to you immediately.

To use this tool, enter in a phone number and the optional message as well. This would create an active URL you can share through multiple channels; i.e., your website, within an email signature, within social media bio’s or as marketing collateral.

How To Use It

• Simply enter the phone number into the first box. Remember to enter the country code, but do not include the “+” or any dashes or spaces. For example, enter 14155551234 instead of +1-415-555-1234.
• The tool removes any spaces or non-number characters you accidentally entered.
• If you copied and pasted a formatted number, it will automatically correct it before you start working with it, and it will provide you with a quick error message to let you know.
• After that, add your message to the second box, which is optional. This message will show up when someone opens the link in the chat box; the person can edit or delete the message before sending. Each character you add will show a count below the message field.
• The generated link appears at the bottom of the page in WhatsApp’s API format; the link is a web address that tells WhatsApp which phone number to call as well as what message to display. To copy the link, simply click once on the link itself, or take a screenshot of your completed setup.

Things to Keep in Mind

1. You’ll need to include the country code with the phone number. Without the country code, WhatsApp doesn’t know where to send the message. Check your country code and make sure to put it in front of your number.
2. The receiver (clicking on the link) must have WhatsApp installed on their device for the link to work. If they don’t have WhatsApp installed, the link will not work for them. On Desktop, if they are already logged into their WhatsApp account, the link will open WhatsApp Web.
3. The message pre-filled into the link is a suggested message, but the recipient can alter it before sending.  Do not expect the recipient to send your exact message.
4. The WhatsApp link will work better for one-on-one communication. If you need a group invite link, you’ll need to create it in WhatsApp. The tool only supports sending messages to individuals or to your business.
5. The link created by this tool does not expire but will only function while the phone number being used is valid on WhatsApp.

With this tool, you create links quickly without keeping records of what you do or track how often you use the tool. All of the activity happens within your own web browser (e.g. Google Chrome).

You may continue to use these links indefinitely. There is no limit to the number of links you can create, nor to the number of times a person may click on the link. WhatsApp may have its own rate limits for incoming messages, but this is separate from the link itself.
